For lack of a better title

So a guess that I have a lot of updating to do considering that I am completely almost on the other side of the country since my last blog post. How did I get there? Well, let me tell you....
Thursday concluded my winter 2009 semester at Brigham Young University Idaho. Well, if we want to get technical, I could say that Wednesday was my last day, due to the fact that my teachers did not enforce the "everyone must attend all their classes on Thursday" rule. Mad props to my teachers for that! I forgoed the sleeping in on Thursday and attempted to get up at 7:00 am, which turned out to be 7:20 am and commenced my clean check cleaning. Contrary to popular belief of the lady who checked my cleaning, I more or less just wiped up whatever evidence there might be of "dirty-ness" in my assigned cleaning area. She passed me with a 0 (i do not have to have any money taken out of my deposit for a cleaning crew). Thank goodness.
I went throughout the day completing various tasks that needed to be done because I was leaving promptly that afternoon and hopefully arriving in Ogden before 7:00 pm. After numerous runs to my storage unit and finally getting every single item of mine packed up, I was ready to leave. Those of you who really know me know that I have a really hard time with goodbyes. I might possibly be one of those people that is so bad at saying goodbye that whenever I do, it is just short, weird, and not very good farewell ever. It's all just because I hate them. So that morning, I told my two roommates, Anna and Rachel bye before they left for class. I also told a few other people bye throughout the day. Possibly the hardest goodbye came when I had to say it to my roommate Camille. Now, those close to me would also know that I really hate to cry, but for some reason, the tears showed no mercy at this point. Needless to say, it hit me right then that I was really going to miss that place. It's hard to think that there will never be another year like the one I had before. The same people will never be "the same people" and the experiences will never be the same either. This is a good thing, change is the only constant thing that we deal with, but I can honestly say that I was truly blessed with wonderful roommates (starting in the fall and continuing throughout the rest of the year). Sure, the roomming situation didn't stay the same in the winter and it had its ups and downs, but it was wonderful and I wouldn't change it for the world. I had a really great time and I have amazing, hilarious, wonderful memories that will stay with me forever. I'll save the rest of the nostalgia for a later post.
I stayed with my dear friend Lauralee that night in Ogden, Utah and of course it was wonderful, it always is when I go visit her and her husband. The following day I went and picked up my dad at the airport. He had flown in to drive back with me. What a guy! I totally love my dad. He truly is a superhero (and I am convinced, a member of the CIA.) We drove the 26+ hour drive back here to my home in Indiana. I would love to give you every detail of the trip, but unfortunately, I'm sure that nobody loves to be bored to a slow, painful death.
I have to say, I love being home. It's wonderful to be nurtured and loved by my family. As soon as I arrived I was welcomed by my mom, sister, and the adorable Sir. Winston Charles. He's a peach. I was then fed probably more food than I had consumed all semester, but no worries, I went to the gym this morning and worked off maybe 1/5 of all the calories. The night was concluded by a midnight run to Denny's in lou of Brad's birthday. It was pretty cool to see old friends; it always is.
Summer vaca has begun! I'm definately going to make the best of it! Be on the lookout for future (hopefully awesome, but no guarantees) blogs!

Another semester down...

Today I was totally digging the "punk goes acoustic-y type stuff." For real. I'm a huge fan of the acoustic, and I would have to say that pretty much any song that is turned into an acousitc song is equally as good, if not better. I was also watching Nitro Circus and Fantasy Factory today (while I was at work) and I totally want to do some crazy awesome stunts! It got me way pumped! So yeah, I'm thinking that this summer calls for some crazy action packed activities. Don't worry, I'll record them.
